The University of Technology Sydney was originally established as the New South Wales Institute of Technology in 1965 at New South Wales. Of the 32000 students currently enrolled, about 6000 are international students. The university operates out of 3 campuses: the City campus located at Broadway, Kuring-gai Chase in suburban Linfield and St Leonards close to the harbour area where students can opt for programs in biological sciences or horticulture. UTS offers a range of short courses and a variety of training and development courses, besides conferring graduate and postgraduate degrees.
