This course provides graduates with specialist nutritional medicine clinical knowledge and skills to become future leaders in the area of nutrition and nutritional practice. The course includes in-depth studies in medical science, research, nutritional biochemistry and clinical nutritional/dietary medicine, clinical case taking, and communication and professional interaction. Nutritional medicine practitioners apply knowledge of the therapeutic and preventive potential of food, diet, micronutrients (vitamins, minerals and trace elements) to maintain and promote client health. The Nutritionist or Nutritional Medicine Clinician may plan appropriate patient-based diet and prescribe nutritional supplements for general well being, or to treat clients with specific health conditions.

입학 요건:

Students must have successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent (e.g. GCE, Advanced Level or Diploma course). Mature students (18 years of age and over) may be admitted to a course without meeting the formal academic requirements, if they have any relevant work experience or other acceptable qualifications. Applicants must meet any one of the English language requirements: an International English Language Test (IELTS) with a minimum overall score of 6.0 for degree course (individual score no less than 5.5) which is valid for two years only, academic Test only accepted, successful completion of the full first year of a Bachelor degree course at any Australian University, successful completion of the full first year of a higher education qualification accredited by an Australian State or Territory higher education authority, successful completion of a full first year of vocational education studies with an Australian Registered Training Organisations, successful completion of the full first year of a Bachelor degree at a New Zealand, British, Canadian or recognised US University, completion of a post-secondary vocational or undergraduate degree course in which English was the sole language of instruction, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score for degree courses of 550 (paper based test) or 213 (computer based test) (Valid for two years only), GCE Ordinary level English, English Literature or English Language - Grade C or better, GCE Ordinary level General English - Grade C or better, GCE Advanced level English, English Literature or English Language - Grade C or better, GCSE English, English Literature or English Language - Grade C or better, GCE AO Level Additional English offered by the Joint Matriculation Board (JMB) - Grade C or better, Certificate of Secondary Education English Language - Grade 1, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English - Grade C or better, completion of the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English.
